The opportunity
What you will own
- Support account access, appointments, uploads, platform navigation, provider workflows and service-status questions.
- Help users understand non-clinical VirtualMedix workflows, including pharmacy, logistics and appointment processes.
- Escalate clinical questions, symptoms, diagnosis or treatment matters to authorised clinical professionals; support staff must not provide medical advice.
- Handle health-related information with heightened privacy, confidentiality and minimum-access discipline.
- Reproduce technical problems and provide clear escalation evidence to VirtualMedix engineering teams.
- Maintain accurate support records and contribute to health-platform knowledge resources.
What you bring
Core qualifications
- 2+ years of customer support, health-tech support, service desk or comparable user-support experience.
- Excellent empathy and communication when assisting users who may be stressed or dealing with time-sensitive health-service issues.
- Strong understanding of privacy, confidentiality and role boundaries in handling health-related information.
- Ability to follow clinical-escalation protocols without interpreting symptoms or providing treatment guidance.
- Strong digital literacy and case documentation.
Additional strengths
Preferred experience
- Experience in health technology, telemedicine, healthcare administration or regulated customer support.
- Training in data protection, health-information privacy or service management.
- Additional African or international language capability.
