The opportunity
What you will own
- Develop production-grade frontend and backend features for PathwayTalk.
- Design and maintain secure APIs, data models and event-driven workflows.
- Improve messaging, communities, groups, identity and notification experiences across web and mobile surfaces.
- Write automated tests and participate in disciplined code review, release and observability practices.
- Work closely with security, product and real-time communications engineers on cross-cutting platform requirements.
- Investigate production issues using telemetry and deliver durable fixes rather than temporary workarounds.
What you bring
Core qualifications
- Advanced TypeScript/JavaScript experience and strong knowledge of modern frontend and backend engineering.
- Strong experience with APIs, PostgreSQL or comparable relational databases, caching and asynchronous workloads.
- Demonstrated ability to build secure, maintainable applications with test automation.
- Practical experience debugging complex distributed application behaviour.
- Clear written and verbal technical communication.
Additional strengths
Preferred experience
- Experience with messaging, collaboration, community or social products.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis and modern Node.js/TypeScript stacks.
- Knowledge of identity verification, notifications, privacy controls or end-to-end encryption architecture.
